Rise of the metal: How Chinas industrial robots are taking over its domestic factories

As per MIR Databank, the domestic share of industrial robots in China has doubled from 17.5% in 2015 to 35.5% in 2022 on the back of supply-chain disruptions, which made it harder to access foreign products, and due to a growing need for automation in small and mid-sized manufacturing companies amid the pandemic-era labour shortages.
