Underutilised, ineffective: why INR9,000 crore Nirbhaya Fund has had little impact on women’s safety

It was supposed to be the magic button for women’s safety in India. But after a decade of diversion and underutilisation, Nirbhaya Fund continues to fall short of its purpose. To exploit it to the maximum potential, authorities should realise that tech can only be a part of the solution when it comes to women’s safety.
