The data also highlighted that the unemployment rate among females in the same age group (15 years and above) in urban areas has declined to 95. per cent in April-June, 2022 from 14.3 per cent a year ago. In January-March 2022, it was 10.1 per cent. The unemployment level was high in April-June 2021 particularly due to Covid-led restrictions that were imposed in the country in a bid to curb the infection.from Jobs-Economic Times
